I am wearing a beautiful teal colored dress to my 40th high school reunion. It is teal blue, not teal green. Not dark color, medium color. It is sleeveless, but it has a a chiffon see through jacket that goes with it, that has swirls of different shades of teal. I LOVE this dress.
Question. WHAT COLOR SHOES!!!!! Please help. My reunion is September 8th.

if patterned, then i''d go with a silver or gold shoe depending on the tone of the teal. if it''s patterned, i think you can do a teal shoe like the one i posted.

got it. then i would do a gunmetal type of silver or a gold (but not flashy gold). a soft muted gold.
I was thinking the same thing.

I know JCrow has counseled you on the most beautiful pewter shoes...and I agree they are a great choice! And versatile. You will be able to wear that color again and again.
But I must tell you I was in Macy''s tonight...and I squealed...IT WAS LOUD and it was ALL for you!! Oh gosh I was embarrassed.
They have this teal shoe that has this round plastic piece that sits on top of your foot that is translucent and has these little flecks of glittery metal shards. Anyway...I KNOW YOU HAVE ALL DECIDED that silver is best...
I just wanted to write you and tell you I had a moment for you...just you, me and that shoe and the clearance rack. $34 I think. I am sure the employees are still laughing at me.

Bless your heart!!! That shoes sounds BEAUTIFUL. Too bad I didn''t see that myself. If we had been together, we both would have probably been kicked out of Macy''s for being loud
Thank you so much for thinking of me, you are a sweetheart.

What color nail polish, lipstick and eye shadow would you suggest. I don''t want my eyes to scream eye shadow. I have dark brown eyes.
My hair is highlighted. I have brown hair with blonde highlights, if that helps.
If you have any websites, where I can order the polish, lipstick and eyeshadow online that would be a plus for me.
Thank you all so much for all of the help you have given me. Wish I could reach through the computer and give you all a great big HUG

Peaches and corals are a nice contrast (while remaining natural) to the teal.
beige, peach, brown and raisin shadow (These can go on wet or dry- wet would be more intense).
To keep shadow on without going intense with the wet application, this
primer potion stays put and does not crease. It comes off with soap and water. I haven't found any shadow it doesn't work it... just make sure you let it dry for a minute before applying shadow.
Another shadow option is the
smashbox.com beige, champagne and chocolate
Or Sephora's Abricot Pulp 09 in brozne, golden champagne, peach sheen and peachy pearl sheen
If you want a liner with a bit of glimmer that will stay put... Urban Decay 24/7 in Bourbon (glimmering dark brown) It does on super creamy, so you need a steady, light hand.
If you don't have a steady, light hand... Make Up Forever Aqua Eyes in Pearly Brown
Cheeks: Joyous Jennifer/Sorbet (bronzed rose/light pink)
Sheer stained-look lipstick: Nars lipstick in Barbarella (sheer peach)
Or lip stain gloss: Nars in Rage (rose coral) or a darker color looks pretty in Pampa (nutmeg)
Or lots of peaches and browns in the Smashbox lip enhancing gloss
For nails I would stick to either a natural looking french manicure or a peachy-champagne shimmer or a sheer peach.
ETA: If you order from Sephora, make sure to select your free samples!

I live in a cold climate and do not wear stockings, even in the winter.
For makeup, I would stay neutral. I like the idea of a greyish pewter liner, a pearly sheen for the brow, and perhaps a lighter smoky grey for the crease. Blush and lipstick I would keep simple. I lately have been doing a smoky eye and lighter lip, so it depends how much eye shadow you use, but I would balance my lips if you have more on your eyes, and stick with a neutral with an undertone that suits your skin tone, and put a bit of pearly gloss on top. Cheeks can be a soft shade, not too neutral so that it looks flat, but not too color intense either. Teal again is a cool color, so I would try to keep my make up in the cooler range so it does not conflict. If you go lighter on the eyes, you can maybe do a sheer berry color on the lips, not too intense, and put a shimmery gloss on top to further tone it down, but be careful not to change the tone of the lipstick. I think bronze tones might have too much red and might fight the cool tones of the blue...but that is just my thought.

Thank YOU for your help too!!!!! I will do that with my legs. I am trying to keep them "safe" right now LOL LOL. My grand boys like to sit on my lap, and in the process I get black and blue marks. I bruise easily. I don''t want to have bruises on my legs, that is all I need
I am on the look out now for a good lip color and nail polish for my manicure and pedicure I have coming up a few days before my reunion. I went shopping for a little bit at the mall yesterday, but my legs starting acting up and I had to come back home. I am going to go back again on Tuesday.
Do they still wear lip color that matches their nail polish or is that a past thing too?? LOL LOL. Boy, am I ever showing my age
